ISSA Show North America returns to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on November 16-19, 2026, with the exhibit hall open November 17, 18 and 19. It is the year’s main gathering for the cleaning and facility solutions industry: distributors, building service contractors, in-house facility teams and residential cleaning pros, with an exhibitor lineup that includes roughly 150 first-time companies alongside the established manufacturers.
Here is what most ISSA attendees have not yet realized about 2026: your show ends the same day Formula 1 takes over the Strip. The Las Vegas Grand Prix runs November 19-21, and HLTH, one of the biggest health-tech conferences in the country, occupies The Venetian November 15-18. Three major events, one week, one boulevard. This is, without exaggeration, the most expensive and most congested week of the Las Vegas calendar, and the attendees who book casually in October will pay for everyone else’s race tickets. This guide explains where to stay, what to avoid, and why booking in July beats booking in September by a wider margin than any other show we cover.
ISSA Show North America 2026: Dates, Venue and Schedule
ISSA lands just before Formula 1 weekend — our compression calendar shows how F1 spikes rates city-wide.
The format splits across four days: education sessions run Monday November 16 through Thursday November 19, while the exhibit hall opens Tuesday November 17 and closes Thursday November 19. Full details and registration are on the official ISSA Show site.
The practical math: an expo-only visitor needs nights of November 16-19 (checkout Thursday or Friday); a full education-program attendee arrives Sunday November 15. And this is where the calendar becomes expensive, because a Friday November 20 checkout puts your final night on the opening night of Formula 1 practice, and a Friday checkout puts you squarely inside race weekend pricing. Every additional night after Wednesday costs disproportionately more this particular week.
One useful signal from the organizer itself: registration prices increase in steps, with the lowest tier ended September 25, a second tier through October 23, and a third through November 14. Treat those dates as a proxy for the hotel curve too, except hotels move earlier and harder.
The F1 Week Problem: Three Events, One Strip
From November 15 to 21, Las Vegas hosts a compression trifecta. HLTH at The Venetian (November 15-18) fills the center-north Strip with healthcare executives. ISSA fills the south end at Mandalay Bay (November 16-19). Then the Las Vegas Grand Prix (November 19-21) closes the middle of the Strip entirely for a night race past Caesars Palace, the Bellagio fountains and the Sphere, with roughly 300,000 visitors and rolling road closures from late afternoon each day.
This is F1 race week, the widest rate spread of the year: in November 2025 a Las Vegas Review-Journal survey of 161 hotels averaged $194 a night for race weekend, while Bellagio, inside the circuit, averaged $2,846. Our own Price Watch measured the 2026 race weekend at $143 a night on average (all-in) on September 27, about 37% above a quiet February week. Demand does not just raise rates; it removes flexibility. Refundable rates get scarcer, minimum-stay requirements appear, and late bookers get whatever geometry of price and commute is left over.
The good news for ISSA attendees is that the burden is not evenly distributed, and your show happens to sit in the best possible corner of the map.
The South Strip Advantage
The F1 circuit loops through the center Strip: the closures, grandstands, and captive pricing concentrate between roughly Flamingo Road, Sands Avenue and Koval Lane. Mandalay Bay sits well south of all of it, closest to the airport and outside the nightly closure zone. HLTH’s crowd clusters around The Venetian, also far north of you.
Booking the Mandalay Bay cluster means you compete for rooms mainly with your own industry rather than with race fans paying event prices, your morning commute to the show floor is an elevator or a tram rather than a crawl through F1 barricades, and your Thursday departure to Harry Reid International (10 minutes south, away from the circuit) stays clean even as the center Strip locks down. This is the same structural logic we describe in our full guide to hotels near the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, amplified by the most extreme demand week of the year.
Best Hotels Connected to the Convention Center
Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is the host property, attached directly to the convention center. During a normal show it is the convenience pick; during F1 week it is a fortress: you can do the entire show, every meal and every evening reception without touching Las Vegas Boulevard. The official block and public rates here will tighten earliest, because every experienced ISSA exhibitor knows exactly what this week looks like.
W Las Vegas, the all-suite tower long known as Delano and rebranded in December 2024, connects to Mandalay Bay through an indoor corridor. Every room is a suite with a separate living area, ideal for exhibitor teams that need workspace, and the non-gaming atmosphere keeps mornings quiet. If your travel program earns Marriott Bonvoy points, note that W is a Marriott brand and that Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibur also earn Bonvoy points when booked through Marriott (MGM Collection).
Four Seasons Las Vegas, occupying the top floors of the Mandalay Bay tower with a private entrance and no casino, is where you host the client who flew in for one dinner. It attracts a very different clientele for F1 week; if you want it, want it early.

Best Hotels Within Walking Distance
Luxor connects to Mandalay Bay via free tram and an indoor walkway, about 17 minutes on foot door to show floor with no street crossing. It is consistently the best value of any venue-connected hotel in Las Vegas, and during F1 week that gap widens: Luxor and Excalibur absorb the budget-conscious overflow of three events, so their absolute rates rise too, but they remain the sanest dollars-per-commute-minute equation of the week.
Excalibur anchors the other end of the free tram, about 24 minutes on foot from the show floor. It is the cheapest structurally connected option, and its lowest room categories are the most sought after this particular week. If your team’s priority is cost control, book Excalibur refundable now and consider it insurance.
Where Not to Stay During ISSA Week
In a normal week we would list center-Strip properties as reasonable mid-range alternatives. Not this week. Hotels inside or adjacent to the F1 circuit, the stretch anchored by Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, Paris, the Flamingo, The Venetian and the LINQ, spend November 19-21 at event pricing with front-door access constrained by track barriers and pedestrian bridges operating on race-day protocols. You would pay a premium for the privilege of a 30-45 minute commute to Mandalay Bay that normally takes 12.
The same caution applies to airport transfers booked from center-Strip hotels on Thursday and Friday: with Las Vegas Boulevard closing from late afternoon and the track reopening only in the early morning hours, rides reroute through congested parallel streets. Staying south makes this entire problem disappear. One more trap worth naming: some off-Strip properties east of the circuit advertise “walking distance to the track” as a selling point this week. For a race fan that is a feature; for an ISSA attendee it means you are paying motorsport pricing for a room on the wrong side of the closures, with Koval Lane and the surrounding grid absorbing all the diverted traffic. Distance from the circuit is the amenity this week, and the Mandalay Bay cluster has the most of it while staying attached to your show.
When to Book: A Timeline With No Slack in It
For a typical Mandalay Bay show we advise booking refundable rates 90 days out. For ISSA 2026, pull everything forward: F1 demand has been building since tickets went on sale in May, and race-week hotel inventory is priced and managed months ahead. Practically: July-August is the window where refundable rates near the venue still resemble convention pricing rather than race pricing. September is compromise season. October onward, you are choosing between paying the F1 premium at a connected hotel or accepting a commute.
The official housing partner, onPeak, holds block rates advertised as averaging 30% below public travel-site pricing, with flexible cancellation, and it is the only housing provider endorsed by the show (third-party “housing bureaus” that cold-call exhibitors are a known scam vector in this industry; book through the official channel or directly). Our standing advice: secure an official-block or refundable public rate now, calendar a re-shop for mid-September, and keep whichever is better. Cancellable bookings turn this volatile week into an option in your favor.
Exhibitors should add move-in nights (November 15-16) to their block immediately; multi-room availability at connected properties is the first thing this week destroys.

Getting There and Getting Around During F1 Week
Mandalay Bay is the closest major convention venue to Harry Reid International Airport, about 10 minutes by rideshare, and crucially the route runs south of the circuit, so arrival and departure stay functional all week. Between Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibur, the free tram and indoor walkways keep your daily commute entirely off the roads.
If you must reach the center Strip, for an HLTH crossover meeting or a client dinner, do it before 4pm or accept serious delays: Las Vegas Boulevard closes progressively from late afternoon for track activity, and the circuit does not reopen until the early morning hours. Thursday November 19 is the day to protect: last exhibit day, first F1 track day. Schedule nothing that requires crossing the Strip that evening. Our Las Vegas trade show calendar maps the full month if you are combining trips.
Budget Planning: Resort Fees and the F1 Effect
Every hotel in this guide adds a daily resort fee, plus tax (roughly $44 to $57 a night at Strip casino-hotels, per a Las Vegas Review-Journal survey), so a four-night stay carries a cost that never appears in the advertised rate; our resort fee guide details each property. Layer on F1 week realities: restaurant reservations tighten citywide, rideshare surge pricing appears nightly from Thursday, and anything labeled “race week package” is priced for motorsport tourists, not trade show attendees. Budget meals inside the Mandalay Bay complex, keep road trips to the mornings, and your daily costs stay close to normal-show levels despite the chaos three miles north.
If your calendar is flexible across the fall, note that SupplySide Global occupies the same venue three weeks earlier under far calmer conditions; we cover it in our SupplySide Global hotel guide, and the contrast between the two weeks is the best illustration of why timing is the biggest hidden cost in Las Vegas business travel.
