MJBizCon specifics: MJBizCon — the cannabis industry’s largest B2B trade event — takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center each December. With thousands of attendees and exhibitors, hotel availability near the LVCC drops sharply from mid-November. The Westgate Las Vegas and the newly renovated Renaissance are the closest hotels: the Westgate has a covered skywalk into the North Hall and the Renaissance is a 5-minute walk.
MJBizCon — the cannabis industry’s flagship B2B trade show — draws thousands of cannabis professionals, investors, and operators to the Las Vegas Convention Center every November. As the industry’s most important annual gathering, choosing the right hotel is both a practical and strategic decision.
Where Is MJBizCon Held?
MJBizCon shares its week with AWS re:Invent and the start of NFR — our compression calendar explains the December squeeze.
MJBizCon is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). The LVCC is 1–2 miles east of the Strip — hotels that look close on a map can still require a 15-20 minute drive or rideshare.

FAQ — MJBizCon Hotels
What is the closest hotel to MJBizCon?
The closest hotel to MJBizCon at the Las Vegas Convention Center is typically the Renaissance Las Vegas, which is within walking distance of the main entrance. For the full comparison, see the hotel ranking at the top of this guide.
How much do hotels cost during MJBizCon?
Expect higher than usual Las Vegas hotel rates during MJBizCon week (December 1-4, 2026), especially at properties close to the venue. We have not measured MJBizCon prices ourselves, so book early and compare live rates.
Is there a shuttle from hotels to MJBizCon?
Hotels within walking distance don’t need shuttles. For hotels further away, most large Las Vegas properties offer ride-share access and some run their own shuttles during major trade shows. Check with your hotel directly when booking.
Official housing block or book it yourself?
MJBizCon attendees have two routes: the official housing block via EvolveCon powered by HotelMap, or booking the same hotels independently. Neither wins automatically.
The block tends to win when the show fills the city, when you need ten rooms or more, or when the organizer attaches shuttle access or a price-match to it. Booking independently tends to win for longer exhibitor stays covering setup and teardown nights, when the hotel you actually want is not in the block, or when elite loyalty status is worth more to you than the rate difference.
Whichever route you take, compare all-in totals. Las Vegas resort fees run roughly $44 to $57 per night at Strip casino-hotels (Las Vegas Review-Journal survey), before Nevada’s 13.38% lodging tax, which adds about $250 to $325 to a five-night stay, per room. That is frequently larger than the gap between two hotels you are weighing. MJBizCon 2026 runs December 1–4 in the LVCC Central Hall, overlapping the National Finals Rodeo (December 3–12) — one of the tightest hotel weeks of the Las Vegas year.
Full detail in our guides to official blocks versus independent booking and resort fees and how to get them waived. Exhibitor teams contracting ten rooms or more should ask for the resort fee waiver in writing before signing — it is negotiable at contract stage and effectively impossible afterwards.
Which hall are you in? Pick your hotel accordingly
The LVCC campus is large enough that “near the convention center” is not precise enough to book on. MJBizCon 2026 occupies the Central Hall (confirmed on the official MJBizCon venue page), and the walk between the far ends of the campus is roughly 15 minutes above ground.
- West Hall — Westgate Las Vegas sits adjacent, connected by a pedestrian walkway, and has its own Monorail station. Resorts World is about 0.8 miles but connects via the Vegas Loop in minutes.
- Central Hall — the Renaissance Las Vegas is directly across Paradise Road; the Courtyard and the Paradise Road business-hotel cluster are a short walk. The Grand Plaza Loop station serves Central and North.
- North Hall — Westgate is roughly a five-minute walk; the Grand Plaza Loop station is the fastest campus connection.
- South Hall — the Las Vegas Monorail stops here, which makes mid-Strip properties (Harrah’s, The LINQ, Flamingo, MGM Grand) more practical than their map distance suggests.
The Vegas Loop changes the maths. The free underground Tesla shuttle links the halls — West Hall to Central takes about two minutes versus a fifteen-minute walk — and is included with your show badge on event days. A hotel near the “wrong” hall matters far less than it used to, provided you are on the Loop network.

Getting Around During MJBizCon
Las Vegas traffic during major cannabis industry trade shows can be surprisingly heavy. If your hotel isn’t walkable:
- Uber/Lyft — most reliable, surge pricing during peak hours (8–9am, 5–7pm)
- Vegas Loop — if your show is at the LVCC, the underground tunnel system is the fastest way between halls
- Rental car — useful if you’re visiting multiple venues or have equipment to transport. See our car rental guide for trade show attendees
