Quick answer
LDI 2026 runs December 2–8, 2026 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, West Hall, with the expo floor open December 6–8 (organizer: Questex). The closest beds are the Las Vegas Marriott (4 min on foot), Courtyard and Residence Inn (5 min), Renaissance and Fontainebleau (6 min). Book early: LDI shares the campus and the week with NFR and Cowboy Christmas (December 3–12), the most crowded December stretch in Las Vegas.
LDI 2026: dates, venue and what to expect
LDI (Live Design International) is the annual trade show and conference for live entertainment design and technology: lighting, audio, video, staging and the people who run shows, tours, theaters, houses of worship and themed venues. The 2026 edition is announced for December 2–8, 2026, with the Expo Hall open December 6–8, in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The organizer, Questex, reported 14,000+ industry professionals and more than 350 exhibits for the 2025 edition, and lists 350+ exhibitors, 215+ speakers, 125+ sessions and 75+ training courses for 2026. Training and LDInstitute courses run on the days before the expo floor opens, which is why the dates span a full week.
Industry recognition: LDI won the Slam Dunk Award: Best New Idea of 2025 in Trade Show Executive’s 2026 Gold 100 Grand Awards (September 24, 2026), one of ten Las Vegas shows honored that year. Source: Trade Show Executive, September 24, 2026.
The week around LDI: why hotels near the LVCC fill early
LDI does not have the campus to itself. Cowboy Christmas, the free NFR gift show, runs December 3–12 in the LVCC South Halls with 375+ exhibitors, and the National Finals Rodeo fills the Thomas & Mack Center every night of the same stretch. Add the tail of AWS re:Invent (November 30 – December 4, citywide) and Gartner IT Infrastructure & Operations at the Venetian (December 8–10), and you get the busiest hotel week of the month on Paradise Road.
Practical consequence: the walkable hotels in the table below are shared with rodeo fans who book months ahead and with AWS attendees leaving on December 4–5. If your badge is for the expo days only (December 6–8), the Thursday–Friday AWS checkout can free rooms, but do not count on it for the Marriott-branded properties next to the West Hall.
Best hotels for LDI 2026, by measured walk to the West Hall
LDI is a West Hall show, so the usual “near the LVCC” advice needs adjusting: the Westgate’s skywalk lands you in the North Hall, and the Renaissance faces the Central Hall. The properties on Paradise Road directly across from the West Hall are the ones that save you time every morning.

| Residence Inn Las Vegas Convention Center | West Hall | 0.3 mi | 5 min |
| Renaissance Las Vegas | Central Hall | 0.3 mi | 6 min |
| Fontainebleau Las Vegas | West Hall | 0.3 mi | 6 min |

Walk to the show (4–8 minutes)
- Las Vegas Marriott: the closest hotel to the West Hall doors, non-gaming and business-oriented.
- Courtyard and Residence Inn Las Vegas Convention Center: 5 minutes, suites with kitchens at the Residence Inn, useful for a crew staying the full week.
- Renaissance Las Vegas: 6 minutes, the quiet non-casino option, with the Central Hall at its door.
- Fontainebleau Las Vegas: 6 minutes, the newest resort on this side of the Strip and a Vegas Loop stop since February 2026.
- SpringHill Suites: 7 minutes, the value pick on this block.
- Westgate Las Vegas: 8 minutes outdoors to the West Hall, or the covered skywalk into the North Hall. Also the NFR’s nightly watch-party hotel in December, which cuts both ways: atmosphere, and crowds.
A longer walk or a Loop ride (12–21 minutes)
- Circus Circus (12 min) and SAHARA (16 min): the budget tier within walking range; the SAHARA has its own Vegas Loop station on Paradise Road.
- Encore and Wynn (17–21 min): the premium choice for exhibitors hosting clients; the Encore Vegas Loop station serves both.
- Resorts World (21 min on foot, a few minutes by Vegas Loop): good if your team mixes show days with meetings on the north Strip.
When to book, and what rooms cost in that week
Our Price Watch does not yet track LDI as a separate week, but it does track the two weeks either side of it. Read the AWS re:Invent hotel guide for the November 30 – December 4 readings and the NFR guide for the rodeo stretch; LDI’s expo days sit between the two. The Las Vegas Convention Price Index shows how December compares with the rest of the year.
Rule of thumb for this week: book a refundable rate as soon as your attendance is confirmed, then re-check 30 and 14 days out. Check the organizer’s official Hotel & Travel page for the LDI housing block before booking independently; block rates are not always the cheapest, but they protect you from sell-outs.
Getting to the West Hall
- From Harry Reid Airport: 10–20 minutes by rideshare or taxi to Paradise Road; details and fares in our LVCC transport guide.
- Inside the campus: the Vegas Loop has a West Hall station and rides between the LVCC stations are free; paid rides reach Resorts World, Westgate, Encore, Fontainebleau and SAHARA.
- Monorail: the Las Vegas Convention Center station serves the Central Hall side; allow a few extra minutes to cross to the West Hall.
- Bus: RTC route 108 runs along Paradise Road between the airport and the Convention Center.
Frequently asked questions
When and where is LDI 2026?
December 2–8, 2026 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, West Hall, with the Expo Hall open December 6–8. Source: ldishow.com and the organizer’s announcement.
Which hotel is closest to the LVCC West Hall?
The Las Vegas Marriott, about 0.2 miles and 4 minutes on foot by our October 2026 measurement, followed by the Courtyard and Residence Inn at 5 minutes.
Is LDI the same week as the NFR?
Yes. The National Finals Rodeo and Cowboy Christmas run December 3–12, 2026, and Cowboy Christmas occupies the LVCC South Halls, so hotels around the campus are under pressure for the whole LDI week.
How we research and verify this guide
Dates, venue and attendance figures come from the organizer (ldishow.com and Questex). Walking distances were measured by us on October 22, 2026, with the same method for every hotel. Hotel prices change daily, so this guide points you to live rates rather than quoting a single number. If you book through our links, we may earn a commission at no cost to you; no hotel pays to appear here. See the full Las Vegas trade show calendar for the rest of the season.
