CES 2027 Hotel Prices, 100 Days Out: What LVT Price Watch Shows

Quick Answer

100 days before CES 2027, Las Vegas hotels near the convention center averaged $145 per night all-in (taxes and resort fees included), about 39% above a quiet February week. Four days later, on the same 16 hotels, the average had moved just 1.2%. The market is set, not yet nervous. Data: LVT Price Watch, readings of September 27 and October 1, 2026.

Update, October 15: the October 12 jump reversed

Our October 15 reading did not confirm the rise reported below. On the same 9 hotels, the CES 2027 week average fell from $169 to $139 per night in three days (-17.5%). The swing came mostly from two properties next to the convention center: Westgate Las Vegas ($284 on Sept 27, $460 on Oct 12, $296 on Oct 15) and MainStay Suites LVCC, which returned to its late-September price. Our quiet reference week stayed flat. Bottom line: so far, CES 2027 hotel prices near the LVCC are roughly where they were in late September. We will only call a trend once it holds over several readings. Live table: Las Vegas Hotel Compression Index.

Earlier update, October 12: a 23% jump on the same hotels (reversed since)

Fifteen days after our first reading, we compared the same 10 hotels that Google Hotels returned for CES 2027 week on both September 27 and October 12. Their average all-in price rose from $130 to $160 per night, an increase of 22.9%, 85 days before the show.

Over the same period, the same comparison for our quiet reference week in February 2027 (18 hotels) moved from $100 to $98, a change of -1.6%. The wider Las Vegas market is flat: the increase is specific to CES week.

What this means if you have not booked yet: the early window is closing. A 10-hotel sample is small, so read this as a direction rather than a forecast, and always check the live rate before you book. Compare current CES week rates on Hotels.com. Every CES season, the same question lands in our inbox: is it too late to book? The honest answer is that nobody publishes the number you need to answer it. Tourism boards report average daily rates after the show. Booking sites show you today’s price with no memory of yesterday’s. So since September 27, 2026, we have been recording it ourselves.

This is the first public reading of LVT Price Watch for CES 2027 (January 6–9, 2027, Las Vegas Convention Center and venues across the Strip). We will update it twice a week until the show opens.

What we measure, and why the all-in price

We record the price a traveler actually sees on Google Hotels for a stay covering the show dates: per night, taxes and resort fees included. Not the headline rate on the first screen, which in Las Vegas routinely leaves out a resort fee worth 11% to 15% of the bill.

Each reading covers the hotels Google returns for a search around the Las Vegas Convention Center, typically 17 to 20 properties, from budget suites to Strip resorts. We identify every hotel by a stable identifier, so we can follow the same room at the same hotel from one reading to the next. That detail matters more than it sounds, as you will see below.

Readings run on Mondays and Thursdays. The first one was taken on Saturday, September 27, 2026, 100 days before CES.

CES 2027 at 100 days: $145 a night, 39% above a quiet week

On September 27, the 17 hotels returned for CES week averaged $145 per night all-in, with a high of $284. The reference we compare against is a quiet week in February 2027 with no major show in town: $104 per night on September 27 ($105 on October 1) on the same kind of search. CES was therefore running about 39% above baseline, 100 days out.

Stripped of taxes and resort fees, the CES average was $128. The gap between $128 and $145 is the part of your bill that does not show up until checkout.

Four days later: the number that looks like +5% is really +1.2%

By October 1, the raw average had climbed to $152. That reads like a 5% jump in four days, and a less careful report would have published it. We did not, because the sample had changed: Google returned 20 hotels instead of 17, and the three newcomers were pricier properties.

So we compared only the 16 hotels present in both readings. On those, the average moved from $142.70 to $144.40, a rise of 1.2%. Nine hotels went up, five did not move, two went down.

Two patterns stand out. The hotels moving first are the mid-range resorts within walking distance of the LVCC: Westgate and SAHARA added $9 and $11 in four days. The budget tier, the two MainStay Suites, Thunderbird, Bposhtels, did not move a dollar. At 100 days, demand is concentrating where it always does for CES, on the rooms you can walk from.

How CES compares with the other big Las Vegas weeks

We track nine windows in parallel. Here is the October 1 reading for each, raw averages, all-in per night, with the number of days before each event.

Quiet week, February 2027 (reference)131$105—
Raw averages across all hotels returned on October 1, 2026. Sample sizes vary by event (17–20 hotels); use the same-hotel table above for precise movements.

SHOT Show is the outlier at more than twice the quiet-week price, 109 days out. The reason is a calendar collision: it shares its January week with World of Concrete, and two large shows on the same dates leave very little inventory near either venue. IMEX, 11 days out, barely lifts the market; a 17,000-person meeting does not tighten Las Vegas the way CES does.

What this means if you are booking for CES

At 100 days, you are early, not late. Prices on identical rooms moved about a dollar a night in four days. There is no sign yet of the sharp steps that come when hotels release unsold block inventory, typically inside the last 60 days.

Walkable mid-range is where to act first. Westgate, SAHARA and the LVCC-adjacent properties are the ones already drifting up. If one of them fits your budget, a refundable rate booked now protects you; you can always rebook if the price drops.

Budget rooms can wait, within reason. The sub-$110 tier has not moved at all. It will, but later. Our CES 2027 hotel guide ranks the options by walk time and value if you want the shortlist.

Always compare the all-in price. On this sample the gap between the headline rate and the real rate was about $17 a night. Over a four-night CES stay, that is the price of a decent dinner.

What comes next

We will keep reading CES prices twice a week and update this page at the 60-day and 30-day marks, always on the same hotels. Frequently asked questions

When should I book a hotel for CES 2027?
Based on our readings, 100 days out the market is stable: identical rooms moved about 1% in four days. Booking a refundable rate now, especially at walkable mid-range hotels, locks a price before the usual late-stage increases.

Are resort fees included in the prices shown here?
Yes. Every figure in this article is the all-in nightly price, taxes and resort fees included, as displayed to travelers on Google Hotels. The headline rate without fees was about $17 lower on average.

How often is this data updated?
LVT Price Watch records prices every Monday and Thursday. This page is refreshed at key milestones before CES; the date of the latest reading is always stated in the text.

How We Research and Verify This Guide

LasVegasTrade.com is an independent resource. We are not owned by any hotel, casino, or booking platform, and no venue pays to be featured.

Show details. Dates, venues, and hours are verified against each event’s official website before publication, never copied from other blogs. When a detail can change, such as pricing, we say so and point to the official source.

Hotel rates. We run LVT Price Watch, our own tracker that records real advertised nightly rates from major booking platforms twice a week ahead of each major Las Vegas convention. This lets us show how prices actually move as a show approaches, instead of repeating generic estimates.

How we make money. Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes which hotels we recommend or the rate you pay.
