SHOT Show (January 19–22, 2027, Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum) and World of Concrete (exhibits January 19–21, Las Vegas Convention Center) run the same week. 109 days out, hotels around the Venetian averaged $258 a night all-in; hotels around the LVCC averaged $128. On identical LVCC-area hotels, that week is about 14% cheaper than CES week, with one exception: the Westgate, which prices World of Concrete above CES. Data: LVT Price Watch, October 1, 2026.
Twice every January, Las Vegas fills up with people who work with their hands. The first week belongs to CES. The third week belongs to two shows at once: SHOT Show, the shooting, hunting and outdoor trade show, with 2,700+ exhibits at the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum, and World of Concrete, the construction industry’s annual gathering at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Same dates, two venues three miles apart, two very different hotel markets. We have been measuring both since September 27, 2026 with LVT Price Watch, our twice-weekly reading of the all-in nightly price (taxes and resort fees included) that Google Hotels shows travelers. Here is what the first readings say, 109 days before the doors open.
Two shows, two price levels: $258 on the Strip, $128 by the LVCC
For SHOT Show we track the hotels Google returns around the Venetian and Caesars Forum: the five-star core of the Strip plus a few mid-range neighbors. On October 1, the 14 hotels present in both of our readings averaged $258 a night, essentially unchanged from September 27 ($259). The Venetian itself, the show’s host hotel, listed at $815.
For World of Concrete we track the hotels around the Las Vegas Convention Center, the same corridor we use for CES. The 12 hotels present in both readings averaged $128, down slightly from $130. Against a quiet February week at $105, that is a 22% premium. The Strip-center sample sits at 2.5 times the quiet week, but part of that gap is location, not the show: five-star resorts cost more than convention-corridor hotels in any week.
The useful comparison is therefore not SHOT versus World of Concrete. It is this week versus CES week, on the same hotels.
Same hotels, different week: January 19–21 runs 14% below CES
Eleven LVCC-area hotels appear in both our CES sample and our World of Concrete sample. On October 1, the same rooms averaged $147.50 for CES week and $126.40 for the SHOT / World of Concrete week: 14% less for the later show, at a similar distance from the event (96 days versus 109).
| Hotel (LVCC area) | CES week (Jan 6–9) | SHOT / WOC week (Jan 19–21) | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino | $293 | $337 | +$44 |
| SAHARA Las Vegas | $247 | $235 | −$12 |
| Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino | $178 | $114 | −$64 |
| The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower | $175 | $113 | −$62 |
| Palace Station Hotel and Casino | $155 | $104 | −$51 |
| Circus Circus Hotel and Casino | $131 | $119 | −$12 |
| Alexis Park Resort | $120 | $68 | −$52 |
| Travelsuites Inn | $107 | $85 | −$22 |
| Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino | $102 | $92 | −$10 |
| MainStay Suites Las Vegas Convention Center | $84 | $94 | +$10 |
| Bposhtels Las Vegas | $31 | $29 | −$2 |
| Average, 11 hotels | $147.50 | $126.40 | −14% |
The pattern is clear in the middle of the table: the mid-range properties a short ride from the LVCC (Mardi Gras, STRAT, Palace Station, Alexis Park) are $50 to $65 cheaper per night for World of Concrete than for CES. CES fills the whole city; World of Concrete and SHOT Show, large as they are, do not.
The Westgate exception: the one hotel pricier for World of Concrete than for CES
One line runs the other way. The Westgate Las Vegas, the hotel physically attached to the convention center, lists at $337 for World of Concrete week against $293 for CES week. It is the only hotel in our sample where the third week of January costs more than the first.
We do not know the hotel’s reasoning and will not guess at it. What the number tells a World of Concrete attendee is simple: the one hotel you can reach without crossing a street is already the most expensive room in the corridor, 109 days out, and it did not move between our two readings. If walking to the LVCC is non-negotiable, book it now; if it is not, the table above shows $113 to $155 rooms a five-minute ride away.
SHOT Show: flat at the top, moving underneath
| Hotel (Venetian / Caesars Forum area) | Sep 27 (J-113) | Oct 1 (J-109) | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Venetian Las Vegas | $814 | $815 | +$1 |
| Bellagio Hotel & Casino | $377 | $400 | +$23 |
| Caesars Palace | $341 | $343 | +$2 |
| Harrah’s Las Vegas | $298 | $300 | +$2 |
| The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas | $317 | $288 | −$29 |
| Treasure Island (TI) | $301 | $283 | −$18 |
| Best Western Plus Casino Royale | $247 | $251 | +$4 |
| Flamingo Las Vegas | $197 | $200 | +$3 |
| Club Wyndham Grand Desert | $155 | $156 | +$1 |
| Ellis Island Casino & Hotel | $149 | $148 | −$1 |
| Club Wyndham Desert Blue | $147 | $147 | 0 |
| Rio Hotel & Casino | $96 | $102 | +$6 |
| Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino | $100 | $96 | −$4 |
| Alexis Park Resort | $87 | $86 | −$1 |
| Average, 14 hotels | $259.00 | $258.20 | −0.3% |
The average did not move, but the Bellagio added $23 while the Cosmopolitan dropped $29 and Treasure Island $18. At this distance from the show, the five-star tier is repricing against itself rather than rising as a block. The host hotel is the outlier: at $815 a night, the Venetian costs more than the next two hotels combined.
What this means if you are booking
SHOT Show attendees: the LVCC corridor is your discount. The same week costs $128 by the convention center and $258 by the Venetian. The Las Vegas Monorail connects the SAHARA, Westgate and Convention Center stations to the Harrah’s / The LINQ station, which sits beside Caesars Forum and a short walk from the Venetian Expo. A $113 room at the STRAT plus a monorail pass is a very different trip budget from a $343 room at Caesars Palace.
World of Concrete attendees: you are in the cheaper January week. On identical hotels, your dates run 14% below CES. The exception is the Westgate; everywhere else, the corridor is still priced like a normal busy week, not a crisis.
Both: nothing in these readings suggests urgency yet. Averages moved less than 2% in four days on both samples. Book a refundable rate at a hotel you would be happy with, and rebook if the price falls. We will publish the next readings at the 60-day and 30-day marks.

How we measured this
LVT Price Watch records, every Monday and Thursday, the all-in nightly price Google Hotels displays for a stay covering each show’s dates, for the hotels Google returns around each venue. Each property is tracked by a stable identifier, so the comparisons above are between the same rooms at the same hotels, never between two different lists of hotels. Raw averages across changing samples are not published; our CES 2027 report explains why. Public benchmarks for the whole year are on the Las Vegas Hotel Price Index, and the full show schedule is in the trade show calendar.

How We Research and Verify This Guide
LasVegasTrade.com is an independent resource. We are not owned by any hotel, casino, or booking platform, and no venue pays to be featured.
Show details. Dates, venues, and hours are verified against each event’s official website before publication, never copied from other blogs. When a detail can change, such as pricing, we say so and point to the official source.
Hotel rates. We run LVT Price Watch, our own tracker that records real advertised nightly rates from major booking platforms twice a week ahead of each major Las Vegas convention. This lets us show how prices actually move as a show approaches, instead of repeating generic estimates.
How we make money. Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes which hotels we recommend or the rate you pay.
