Quick answer
Update, October 26: AWS re:Invent week is up 10.2% on the same 12 hotels since September 27 (34 days out). That is down from the +36% we measured on October 22, so the jump was a peak, not a trend, and it is still the largest rise among the shows we track. PPAI is +7.3%, F1 +5.4%, SHOT Show +4.0% and CES +3.5% (14 hotels). SEMA is -7.3% a week before opening, and World of Concrete keeps getting cheaper (-19.4%). Our no-show reference week moved -3.2% over the same period.
Every trade show attendee asks the same question: are hotel prices for my show week already climbing, or can I wait? Nobody publishes that answer ahead of time. Official figures arrive after the fact. This page tracks it while it happens.

What the numbers say
AWS re:Invent is the one show climbing. Up about 36% on identical hotels since late September, with most hotels moving, from Mandalay Bay and Luxor to Planet Hollywood and Flamingo. If you go to AWS and have not booked, prices are already moving against you.
The market itself is calm. Our reference week in February 2027, with no major show, barely moved. That is what makes the AWS increase meaningful: it is show-driven, not a citywide rise. CES, by contrast, is exactly where it was in September.
Mid-size shows can get cheaper at the last minute. IMEX America hotels dropped 19.5% between late September and show week. World of Concrete is down about 18% so far. Waiting is not always a mistake, but it is a bet.

How we measure
LVT Price Watch records the prices Google Hotels displays to travelers for each tracked show week, collected automatically twice a week (Monday and Thursday). We record the per-night price with taxes and resort fees included, because that is what you actually pay.
Because Google returns a slightly different list of hotels each time, raw averages can move just because the sample changed. To avoid that, this index only compares hotels present in both readings, identified by a stable Google hotel ID. We only publish a figure when at least 10 hotels match.
What this index can’t tell you
- It is a sample, not the whole city. We compare 10 to 20 hotels per show week. A couple of big moves can shift an average, which is why we publish the number of hotels with every figure.
- It shows prices, not availability. Google Hotels tells us what a room costs, not how many rooms are left. A flat price can still hide a hotel that is almost full.
- One reading is not a trend. On October 12 we saw a jump for CES and SEMA that vanished on the next readings. We now wait for a move to hold over several readings before calling it.
- It is young. The series started on September 27, 2026, so we cannot compare with last year yet.
- It does not cover official show blocks. Rates booked through a show’s housing bureau are not in Google Hotels and are not tracked here.
Read these figures as a direction, not a forecast, and always check the live rate before booking. LasVegasTrade.com is independent and earns a commission on some bookings, which does not affect the data.
